| Thallus pale fawn, thin, smooth, dull. Ascomata conspicuous, numerous, black, thin, scattered or crowded, straight, curved or sinuous, often richly branched, semi-immersed to sessile, with a thin thalline margin, 1–4 (–6) mm long, 0.05–0.10 mm wide; lips closed. Proper exciple completely carbonised. Hymenium 100–120 µm thick, not inspersed. Ascospores 8 per ascus, biseriate, transversely 6–8-locular, 25–30 × 5–8 µm, I+ blue. CHEMISTRY: Norstictic acid. |
